A stylish, 2-bedroom apartment with AC and a balcony is available to rent in Barcelona's popular El Raval neighbourhood. The interior is modern, yet retains its historic charm with authentic wooden beams on the ceiling. The property has a spacious living room, a studio for working, and a kitchen that is fully equipped and connected to the living room in an open-plan layout.

This property is located on Carrer de les Carretes in the El Raval neighbourhood. The local area is lively, and is extremely popular for its assortment of bars, cafés, shops and restaurants. You will be living near the Sant Antoni Market, and Las Ramblas which is about 10 minutes away. This apartment is ideal for those studying or working at the University of Barcelona, which is 15 minutes away.

What we liked the most

  • The apartment has a small studio where you can work or study at home. The landlady might transform this into another bedroom one day.
  • The interior of the apartment combines the old with the new.
  • The kitchen is decorated with a funky yellow colour scheme.
  • The living room has a double sofa bed for guests.
  • The property has a balcony which looks out onto the interior courtyard.
  • AC units are spread throughout the property - ideal for hot, Spanish summers.
  • The University of Barcelona is about 15 minutes away.

Things to keep in mind

  • When we visited, bedroom 2 was a studio. But since then, the landlord has put a double bed and cupboard into the room. So when you watch the video or look at the floorplan and see a 'studio', please bear in mind that you are looking at bedroom 2. See the photos for more info.
