This is considered one of the coolest barrios of Barcelona well-know for its ‘small town’ feel while still being in the heart of the city. This apartment is located within close proximity to the lively Plaça de la Vila de Gracia, a picturesque square filled with cafes, terraces and small shops frequented mostly by locals. This modern interior apartment is perfectly equipped to accommodate families or groups of friends, and is ideal for those wanting to live in a tranquil and safe neighborhood that offers a fantastic lifestyle.

Details

This apartment is located on the third floor of a building which is equipped with an elevator. It has hot and cold air-conditioning and central water heating. The price of rent includes council tax, utilities (water, electricity, gas, heating and Wi-Fi), bed linen, towels and a cleaning service when you check out of the property. There is a safe box available to store your valuables. The minimum lease for this apartment is 30 days (1 month).

Transportation

The closest station is Gràcia, located 400m from the apartment and providing access to metro lines L6 & L7 and trains lines ES, S1, S2 and S5.

Landlord policies

Smoking is not permitted in the apartment. Pets are not allowed. The English speaking landlord does not live in the apartment. Rent can be paid through bank transaction or with a credit card. Check in policy: Please note that check-in starts from 15:00 h at the central office. If you arrive before this time, and if there is space in the office, you may leave your luggage at reception. The reception opening hours are from 10:00 to 20:00 h.

Check-in outside of these hours takes place in the apartments and will be an automatic check in. You must call the Landlord to receive the code to access the building and keys.

In case you arrive after 20:00, require a person to open the door for you, and do a “Personal check in,” there will be an extra charge of 40 euros. You must request this service at least one day prior to your arrival. Personal check in at the apartment is not possible after 01:30 h.

Neighborhood information

According to the people who live there, La Villa de Gràcia like a small village in the middle of the city. Known as the artsy or bohemian neighborhood, it's full of small workshops, boutiques for young designers, and restaurants serving cuisines from half of the world. It's an area full of young people who flood the area's plazas day and night. During August don't forget about this area, because over the course of the week, the neighborhoods fight over which is the best-decorated street with incredible designs that will leave you open-mouthed! In this area you can also visit some modernist buildings: el Hotel Casa Fuster or the Casa Vicens, or even go up to the Parc Güell, Antoni Gaudí's famous attempt at a 60-home development which is now a magnificent park.

What we liked the most

  • The large open plan living and kitchen is comfortable and very well equipped, providing you with a pleasant room where you can relax with your family or roommates.
  • You will love the added comfort of living in a modern apartment which has been totally refurbished.
  • There are two balconies in this apartment, one accessed via the living room and one on bedroom 1.
  • There is a lovely covered terrace equipped with a table with four chairs, where you can enjoy a meal outdoors while enjoying the beautiful views over this charming neighborhood.
  • There are two fully equipped bathrooms, one ensuite to bedroom 1.

Things to keep in mind

  • There is a sofa bed available in the living area.
  • This apartment is interior but still gets lots of natural light. It has the added benefit of not receiving much street noise being located facing a courtyard rather than the street.
