This is a 257 rooms modern residence Hall located in a very central part of Barcelona. All the rooms have their own bathroom, telephone, heating, computer connection with Internet access, television antenna and a satellite receiver. The residence hall also has special rooms for disabled persons.
The Residence Hall is located very near the Drassanes underground station, in the centre of Barcelona, next to the Ramblas; and the Parallel Station. Both metro stations are Green Line 3. Also, several lines that stop nearby (14, 20, 36, 38, 57, 59, 64, 91, 157...).
*Full academic year: a contract will be signed for 10-month contract starting on 01/09/14 and finishing on 31/08/15 with the possibility of a 12-month extension. Full course stays will be given priority.
Prices person/month. Including: accommodation, fixed telephone quota, computer connection with Internet access, TV antenna, use of common areas and VAT (10%).
The only additional expenses are the consumptions as regards water (17.50 €/month, fixed quota), electricity (34 €/month, which amount is regularised at the end of the stay according to the actual consumption of the room) along with the telephone calls, which will be paid for separately.
Registration: You will have to make the registration payment. This amount will be for covering the expenses for advance registration management and processing:
Registration fee: Duration 10-12 months is 385 €. 3 - 9 months, is 256 €, 1 - 2 month is 127 €.
Guarantee deposit: If you are accepted to the residence hall, you will have to pay a guarantee deposit corresponding to two monthly payments. In the case of stays of less than 3 months, the deposit will amount to one monthly payment + 1 month of consumptions.
El Raval neighbohood is vibrant, historic, authentic and full of personality. It is a lively, multi-cultural neighbourhood with a huge variety of tempting cafes, restaurants and bars. The area has also become fashionable being host to a wide variety of art studios, galleries and trendy bookshops, not to mention the imposing MACBA (museum of modern art) and CCCB which is the neighbouring exhibition centre. El Raval is alive all through the day and night. It offers a central location within walking distance of many of the other popular areas such as the Gothic Quarter and Eixample. The nearest metro stops are on Las Ramblas, Barcelona's most famous street which runs up one side of El Raval.
