What can I do here?
Relax. A lot.

It’s what people do here.

Spend the day at the beach. Cool off in the Med. Grab a drink from the nearest xiringuito (beach bar). Oh yes.

Poblenou’s own Rambla has shops, bars, restaurants and the rest. Its seafront promenade is perfect for cycling or rollerblading.

Poblenou was once an industrial centre. So it has lots of old workhouse buildings. They’re now home to bars and apartments. It’s a good vibe.

Plaça de Prim is the oldest plaza in the neighbourhood.

Once it was home to fisherfolk. Today it’s home to fish restaurant Els Pescadors. It’s one of those places you go to for simple, fresh food that tastes fine. (It’s a little expensive, though.)

Plaça de Prim also has 3 ombú trees. You know, those huge gnarly trees with roots like a seething den of snakes. Photo op ahoy.

If you tire of being outdoors, you have good shopping in Diagonal Mar Shopping Centre.

Fun fact:
In the 19th century, Poblenou was Spain’s thriving industrial epicentre. This success earned Poblenou the nickname “the Catalan Manchester”. Progressive.
