Neighborhood information

La Villa de Gracia is like a small village in the middle of the city, or that's what its neighbors think.

Known as the artsy or bohemian neighborhood, it's full of small workshops, boutiques for young designers, and restaurants serving cuisines from half of the world. It's an area full of young people that inundates the area's plazas day and night.

During August don't forget about this area, because during a weeking, the neighborhoods fight over which is the best-decorated street with incredible designs that will leave you with your mouth open.

In this area you can also visit some modernist buildings el Hotel Casa Fuster or the Casa Vicens, or even go up to the Parc Güell, Antoni Gaudí's famous project where he wanted to create a development with 60 homes without too much lunch, even though you can walk through a magnificent park.

What we liked the most

  • There are two shared bathrooms, so you will never have to wait too long to have a shower.
  • Bedrooms one, two and four have beautiful private balconies overlooking the street.

Things to keep in mind

  • Bedroom 3 is suitable for couples, but it is interior and has only a little window.
  • The kitchen is older style, but it is fully functional.
  • The bathroom inside of bedroom 4 is a shared bathroom, therefore the roommates enter the room to use it. However there is a privacy curtain.
