This picturesque neighborhood was the area where Gaudi worked and lived in, and is a beautiful place to wander around and take in the beautiful architecture and atmosphere, offering a less touristy option to Barri Gotic. The iconic Sagrada Familia is located just around the corner from the apartment, and you will also find a metro station right outside this building providing you access to line two of the Barcelona metro. Eixample is considered one of the safest residential neighboorhods in the city, and there is also a vibrant nightlife and a thriving café culture. The total floor area of this apartment is 60 sqm.

Details

This apartment is located on the ground floor of a building which is equipped with an elevator. The apartment has hot and cold air-conditioning and central water heating. The price of rent includes utilities (water, electricity, gas, heating and Wi-Fi), bed linen, towels and a cleaning service when you check out of the apartment. The minimum lease for this apartment is 30 days (1 month). There is a safe box available to store your valuables.

Transportation

The closest station is Sagrada Familia (L2), located three minutes from the apartment.

Landlord policies

Smoking is not permitted in the apartment. Pets are not allowed. The English speaking landlord does not live in the apartment. Rent can be paid through bank transaction or with a credit card. Check in policy: Please note that check-in starts from 15:00 h at the central office. If you arrive before this time, and if there is space in the office, you may leave your luggage at reception. The reception opening hours are from 10:00 to 20:00 h.

Check-in outside of these hours takes place in the apartments and will be an automatic check in. You must call the Landlord to receive the code to access the building and keys.

In case you arrive after 20:00, require a person to open the door for you, and do a “Personal check in,” there will be an extra charge of 40 euros. You must request this service at least one day prior to your arrival. Personal check in at the apartment is not possible after 01:30 h.

Neighborhood information

L'Eixample Dret: Situated to the right of the Passeig de Gràcia, this upper middle-class part of L'Eixample (built in the 19th century as Barcelona outgrew the confines of the medieval walls) is ripe for Modernist Catalan enthusiasts. You’ll be able to live amongst Gaudí's La Pedrera (or Casa Milà) and Sagrada Família. Many other Modernisme structures can be found here, and many are declared UNESCO World Heritage sites. You'll also find the Arc De Triomf, which greeted visitors to the 1888 World's Fair (Exposició Universal) and one of the reconverted pavilions: El Palau de la Justicia or El Castell dels 3 Dragons. La Monumental, the only bullring left in Catalunya (even though bullfighting is now banned), is also in this area.

What we liked the most

  • This home is brand new, having been recently renovated.
  • It enjoys of a fantastic loft-style open plan design. As you enter the apartment you will encounter the kitchen and living area to your right, and the beds, bathroom and terrace will be on your left.
  • There is a comfy double bed in the bedroom area with an additional single bed available in the hallway.
  • You will enjoy coming home to the cozy open plan dining/living area, furnished with a big sofa bed where you can relax and unwind in front of the TV at the end of the day.
  • There is a beautiful outdoor patio equipped with a small wooden table with two chairs.

Things to keep in mind

  • The apartment is interior but doesn't feel too dark being spacious and having high ceilings.
  • The kitchen is small. It has only a small fridge and no oven, but it is still fully functional with a microwave, a stove, a coffee machine and a good range of cooking utensils and dinnerware.
