You’ll walk into a small hallway when entering this 1-bedroom apartment to rent on Finowstrasse. The bedroom is fairly spacious with a large window and furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers, standalone wardrobe and night table. The living room has a big and comfy sofa and a large TV. It also has a door to a balcony, which overlooks the street. From this space you can access the kitchen. It’s fully equipped, includes a dishwasher and is furnished with a 4-seat dining table. There is lots of cooking and cupboard space. In the bathroom you’ll find a bathtub, shelving and a washing machine.

At first glance, and with a Buddhist Temple just down the street, Friedrichshain seems like a quiet neighborhood. Looks can be deceiving! This is actually a city hotspot with an alternative vibe and tons of nightclubs. On your block alone there are a couple of cocktail bars. Around the corner is a liquor store and a tattoo shop, and even a record store. There are a few cafés and restaurants as well. However, you can get all your shopping done at the Edeka market, which is just a 4-minute walk away. When you’re looking for a quiet space, Nilpferdbrunnen State Park is just 8 minutes away, but it’s not the only park in the neighborhood!

What we liked the most

  • The apartment has very large spaces and the convenience of a dishwasher and washing machine.
  • You have access to a balcony just off the living room. What more could you want?
  • You’ll have ample opportunity to enjoy Berlin’s nightlife. The neighborhood is hopping with bars and clubs.
  • There are a few parks around, so you get a bit of green space too.
