The shared areas are the fully equipped kitchen, where you have a dining table with room for 4 people to share a meal, and the bathroom where you will find the washing machine. There is also a small balcony with a view of the courtyard which can be accessed through bedrooms 5.1 and 5.3.
The local area is relatively residential, meaning you can have some peace and quiet. However, you will find an art gallery and a bakery, as well as a couple of restaurants. The U-Bahn is also close by, giving you easy access to the rest of Berlin.
