Neighborhood information

The area of Harold's Cross, Templeogue and Terenure is Dublin’s typical residential suburb, mainly known for the Terenure Cross which has a special mention in James Joyce’s Ulysses. In fact, you will often come across James Joyce's name in this district , however, many actors, writers and musicians also chose to once reside in this charming area.

Terenure has also been a victim of the World War II, but has managed to bring itself back to its feet over the years and is now home to a few primary schools and colleges, creating a perfect area for a young family.

Flatmates

  • Tenants will be sharing the property with the landlady who occupies two of the bedrooms.

What we liked the most

  • The garden, with its views of the park, feels like an escape into the countryside, and is also perfect for a barbecue.
  • The house is both charming and comfortable, fully-equipped with an oven and also a bath.
  • The dining room is a cosy place to enjoy a meal after work.
  • The area is quiet and green and has a unique past, with former residents including several well-known artists and writers.
  • Private parking is available, an advantage of living outside the city centre.

Things to keep in mind

  • The landlady has a dog, a cure King Charles spaniel, which is worth bearing in mind for those who suffer from allergies.
