We think so. Large rooms. Minimalist decor. You’ll be staying in Lisbon’s famous Belém area here, close to the magnificent monastery and Torre de Belém.

You get virtually identical bedrooms, so there’s no need to fight over either.

We think this haven would suit a couple of couples who like culture and the sights, but would prefer to live a bit outside of Lisbon’s centre.

  • The minimalist decor means you can really make this place your own.
  • You’re really close to Alges train station, meaning you can get to the quaint Cascais beach easily.
  • You have everything you need in the kitchen. Spend your time exploring, rather than washing up.

  • There are lots of windows with views, but you’re next to a main road. The good news is that there’s double glazing so you won’t hear a thing.

This is a bright, 2nd floor, 2-bedroom apartment on Rue Cordoeiros A Pedrouços in Lisbon. It’s a great spot to explore the sights and live comfortably. It comes with two great bedrooms and a kitchen with everything you need.

What we liked the most

  • Adding a dash of colour to the place with our newly bought Portuguese souvenirs.
  • Jumping on the train to the cute seaside village of Cascais – it’s a great spot for relaxing.
  • Throwing everything in the dishwasher while you nip down to the Pasteis de Belém bakery to try their famous tarts.

Things to keep in mind

  • You'll be a bit away from Lisbon's old centre here. But you'll still be near museums and the waterfront.
