Harry Potter fans should know Islington, since this is the neighborhood where the fictional Order of the Phoenix is located. You won’t bump into Harry, but this area of London was once renowned for its gardens, music halls, and theaters, and although many had to be re-built after WW2, you’ll still find plenty of beautiful green spaces and lots of entertainment. The Barbican Center, Theater and Art Gallery is just 6 minutes away and you’ll find three beautiful gardens within a 6-minute walk. The Waitrose supermarket is just downstairs, and your flat is also above an organic coffee and natural food store.

Its population of more than 200,000 residents consists of a diverse community with a fantastic mixture of vintage and new atmosphere. London Metropolitan University and City University London are both placed in this borough and provide plenty of off campus housing, located relatively close. The borough consists of several areas, including Finsbury Park, Farringdon, Kings Cross, Newington Green and Tufnell Park, all popular with locals as well as students. City centre is just a short drive away, also accessible with an underground line as well as the train station.
