This 2-bedroom house for rent on Goldhawk Road has three floors. Walking into the house on the ground floor is the kitchen. It has an old-style warmth with marble counter tops plus all of the modern conveniences. It’s furnished with a breakfast bar, where you can have a quick meal. The open-plan living and dining room is very spacious. The area is furnished by a large sofa, fun and funky armchair, fireplace, TV, 6-seat dining table and other pieces. You also get tons of light spilling in from a huge skylight, as well as the windows and sliding door leading to the beautiful and furnished garden patio. The second level has a large bedroom and fabulous bathroom that comes with a shower and clawfoot tub. On the top level is the second bedroom, as well as a unique little library.

One of the oldest areas of London, Southwark is famous for numerous museums, as well as the London Bridge and Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, which are both a half-hour walk away. Your new home is toward the southernmost part of the neighborhood. You’re 9 minutes from the Cinema Museum and 8 minutes from the small but lovely Pasley Park. Living here is easy. There are three grocery stores, including Morrisons, within a 10-minute walk. You can get to the post office in the same amount of time. You’ll find numerous cafés and restaurants close to home, too. And let's not forget the pubs. The Old Red Lion is just 6 minutes away, and is a great place to start meeting your neighbors.

What we liked the most

  • The house is incredible, but the patio and the unique little library are truly special.
  • You can stay fit and healthy at The Gym London Walworth, which is 12 minutes away.
  • If you prefer to get your workout in nature, Kennington Park, which is larger than Pasley Park, is 10 minutes away.
  • Exploring London is simple and easy. You’re just around the corner from the Underground.

Things to keep in mind

  • It's a three-level house, so there are a lot of stairs, which may be an issue for people with reduced mobility.
