Neighborhood information

Hackney:

Hackney is located in the East London area, consisting of several smaller districts, together forming a diverse and lively community. Its neighborhoods include Hackney Central, Bethnal Green, Finsbury Park, Shoreditch and Stoke Newington, all popular with students who are looking for affordable housing. Make sure you stop by Broadway Market as it features outstanding selection of food every Saturday - perfect chance to get to know the locals while enjoying the delicious cuisine. Hackney can be reached with plenty of bus services as well as London Overground services - only Manor House and Old Street stations are currently accessible with London Underground, however, future plans propose a direct Underground service to Hackney Central.

What we liked the most

  • The flat is on a quiet side street, but in one of London's most up-and-coming areas, and there are lots of hidden gems of stores, bars, and clubs to find in the surrounding areas.
  • We love the garden to the rear of the property, filled with trees, and looking very green for the centre of London.
  • Shopping is incredibly convenient, especially for groceries, but also for other items, on nearby Mare and Well streets.
  • London Fields is just a short walk away - very popular with Londons young, hipster communities, this is a great place to spend a sunny weekend.
