Overview

The entrance hall of this 5-bedroom flat may be narrow, but it's warm and inviting. There is set of stairs to the second floor immediately to your right. Underneath the steps is an extra refrigerator. Moving straight down the hall you’ll find the open kitchen, living and dining area. It’s quite spacious - plenty of room to chill with your flatmates. The one-wall kitchen is fully equipped and has a gas stove. There is a 4-seat table and a stand with a flat screen TV. There is a large and cozy sofa bed in the corner in front of the TV, as well as a washing machine. Aside from the upstairs bathroom, this is the only common area. Fortunately, it’s roomy, you get lots of light, and have access to a balcony too!

Tower Hamlets is located in London’s east end. Students and workers might be happy to note that Queen Mary University of London is only a 15-minute walk from the flat. The surrounding area is largely residential with the Stifford Community Center 1 minute to the north and Stepney Green Park just 2 minutes to the east of the building. The area is multi-cultural and you’ll uncover an Ethiopian and Chinese specialty market within a 5-minute walk, as well as a City Super Market. At night, you can check out the restaurants on Mile End Road, just to the north, and afterwards catch a movie at the Genesis Cinema, which is 4 minutes away.

What we liked the most

  • The common area gets a ton of sun, and there is a balcony just off the living space.
  • Queen Mary University of London is a 10-minute bus ride from your new home, but you can easily walk there within 15 minutes.
  • Stepney Green Park is next door, but Stepney Green Gardens and a few other parks are also nearby.
  • If you need a tailor or dry cleaning, there is a launderette & dry cleaners just 6 minutes away.
