In a few words: residential and quiet
Greenery, supermarkets, schools and quiet streets.
In Moratalaz, residents enjoy a quiet, relaxed life not far from the centre of the city. With lots of parks to relax in, Moratalaz is perfect if you’re looking for a calm place to live in Madrid.
What can I do here?
Take a long walk through a park such as nearby Retiro or the Cuña Verde de O’Donnell. Go to the La Elipa sports centre. It has an outdoor pool and a baseball court.
It’s a short metro ride to the city centre. There you can enjoy such famous sights as the Puerta del Sol or the Plaza Mayor.
In 2001, in Moratalaz, Valencia native Antonio Galbis broke the Guinness World Record for the largest paella ever made. Over 100,000 locals enjoyed the record-smashing paella. Delicious.
