This is a wow location, on one of the most popular Plazas in the city, a gorgeous area, full of wine bars and good restaurants.

The apartment itself is modern and spacious. Its 60 m² contain a large open plan living and kitchen area, with 3 french windows, and big bedroom, with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom. The apartment has modern fittings and furnishings, attractive wooden flooring, and artwork on the walls.

And it overlooks the plaza. It might get noisy, but it will be worth it. Just step out of your front door and sit down for good wine or a caña, and plenty of tapas. Or wander away to one of the quieter streets nearby, and try out a bar that the tourists don't know about, or a restaurant that looks unassuming, but serves incredible food. The area is full of them!

Not that you have to stay nearby. So much of central Madrid is walkable from here. For a night out, it's a 10-15 minute walk to Chueca and Malasaña, the hip-and-happening parts of the city. Or stroll to Retiro and relax in the sun, or soak up culture in the world famous El Prado museum.

What we liked the most

  • We love the living room, spacious and bright, and overlooking the gorgeous Plaza.
  • The decor is stylish and attractive, making the apartment very welcoming.
  • This is one of the most popular Plazas in Madrid, and with good reason!
  • Although the area attracts tourists, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. There are some really fantastic restaurants nearby. Why not try out Triciclo – serving a modern, conceptual take on traditional tapas.

Things to keep in mind

  • The kitchen in this apartment does not have an oven. However, it has an electric stove and a microwave.
  • The location is incredible, but be aware – it will be noisy. This is a very popular plaza, and the central location means it will be busy until late at night.
