This apartment sits just on the border of Chamberí and Malasaña, making it ideal for those wanting to enjoy the best of one of Madrid’s most vibrant (and one of the world’s most hipster) neighborhoods with having the benefit of living in one of the most desirable and authentic residential areas of the city. It’s also within easy access to universities in Argüelles and Moncloa, making the location one of the most unbeatable in the capital. That’s not to say that the neighborhood doesn’t have any charm; located steps from Plaza de Olavide, a fantastic circular plaza that’s a local gem full of bars and plenty of places to enjoy sunny weekday mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and the Plaza de Chamberí, you’ll have the best of everything. This neighborhood sits between the posh shops of Salamanca and the hip, fashionable neighborhoods of Malasaña and Chueca. It is full of designer shops, gourmet restaurants, artist hangouts, and classic architecture. It’s considered one of the premier places to live in central Madrid.

What we liked the most

  • There is a spacious living room with plenty of room for lounging and entertaining
  • One of the bedrooms has a single bed with a trundle underneath, ideal for hosting guests!
  • There is fresh, white paint on the walls giving a clean aesthetic to the apartment
