Salamanca
Yourchic, upscale heaven
Overview
Chic. Posh. Upscale. You can enjoy the finer things in life here.
With world-class restaurants, chic cafés and expensive boutiques, Salamanca is the "Upper East Side" of Madrid. No wonder members of the Spanish royal family live here.
Want a 1st-class experience?
Salamanca is for you.
What can I do here?
If you have the money, try Ramón Freixa Madrid.
It's a Michelin-rated restaurant. Apparently it's yummy…. There's a menu called "A soft and continuous trip through our universe in 25 moments." Just saying it sounds good. One day, friend, one day.
Spend rivers of cash (or go window shopping) at the boutiques on the Paseo de la Castellana.
Calle José Ortega y Gasset is home to names like Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Dolce&Gabbana. Just don't forget your suitcase full of money.
If that sounds expensive, and it is, meet your friends in a chic café instead. Enjoy the bitter aroma of freshly ground coffee beans. Plan your first million.
Portal fact
In Salamanca, you'll see lots of elegant wooden doors made in the 19th century. Refined.
Can I afford it? €€€€ (the most expensive per m² in Spain)
