Your historic, friendly home
Calle Alcalá is Madrid's main artery. It runs from Sol in the city centre to Canillejas on the edge of town.
On the way, it cuts Ciudad Lineal in two.
Ciudad Lineal isn't expensive. Or posh. Not like Salamanca next door. But it has the same fast metro and buses. So it's easy to get around town.
It's got Las Ventas bullring too. It's the biggest in Spain. (And the third biggest in the world.)
So no superstar struts the Saturday street...
So your bistro is a bar…
It really doesn't matter...
You get so much more for your money here.
Desperately seeking the good life on a budget?
Try Ciudad Lineal.
What can I do here?
Visit Las Ventas bullring to watch a bullfight or concert.
Try the Taberna Cazorla for Andalusian food and tapas. The Ensalada de tomate, pimiento rojo y bonito is smoky, sweet, and filling.
And when the bright lights of the big city call:
Puerta del Sol is a mere 20 minutes by metro.
It's all so easy, in Ciudad Lineal.
Ciudad Lineal was designed by famed utopian architect Arturo Soria. Modern.
Can I afford it? € (budget-friendly)
