Rios Rosas/Cuatro Caminos: Another part of the Chamberí district, this residential area has efficient public transport systems that connect to the center as well as plenty of cultural offerings in its own right. Calle Ponzano, for instance, has a high concentration of new bars and restaurants, making ponzaning a new buzzword for nighttime outing. Closer to Cuatro Caminos, you’ll find plenty of neighborhood stores, restaurants, bars, and fast food restaurants. There are also two large parks: the Paque de Tercer Depósito, more popularly known as Parque Santander (which also has a large golf practice range) and the Canal Isabel II sports installations with a huge public pool ideal in the summertime.
