What we liked the most

  • The living area is furnished with a dining table with six chairs, two sofas, a coffee table and a huge flat screen TV place on top of an entertainment unit. There is also a window with great views of the skyline of Madrid. You won't get tired of the fantastic views over this beautiful city!
  • The kitchen is very modern with tidy white tiles, quality appliances, and cooking accessories. In here you can find everything you need to prepare your food and dining, including an electric stove, oven, electric kettle, microwave, toaster, blender and a single sink.
  • There is a dishwasher and two large refrigerators, so you won't have to fight with your roommates over finding an empty spot to store your food.
  • Some of the bedrooms have balconies! How nice!

Things to keep in mind

  • The apartment is shared by six people, so it could feel a bit crowded at times.

Neighborhood information

Atocha

Your convenient and central home

Overview

Atocha is a 10-minute metro ride from the city centre. It's known for museums, restaurants and nightclubs. It's also fun, fast-paced and historical.

Travel much?...

Because from Atocha, you can take a high-speed AVE train to towns across Spain (and beyond...). You can also take the airport shuttle and an early flight.

Atocha is Madrid's gateway to the world.

And yours.

What can I do here?

Catch a train to Barcelona. (Joke.)

Go see Guernica at the Reina Sofia Museum. It's a 7-metre painting by Pablo Picasso. White, grey and black faces twist in torment, the peasant victims of state violence.

Try a bocadillo de calamares (calamari sandwich) at El Brillante restaurant. (You'll thank us.)

Take a walk in Retiro; it's a 350-acre park, one of Madrid's best. It's home to squirrels, migratory birds, and 15,000 shady trees.

Row a blue boat across the green waters of the park lake. Say hi to the ducks and terrapins.

When Saturday comes, move your body to the beat at Kapital – It's Madrid's most famous nightclub.

Breathtaking fact

There's a tropical garden inside Atocha station. It has 7,000 plants from 260 different species. Diverse.

Can I afford it? €€ (mid-range)
