Neighborhood information

Malasaña is both traditional and alternative. If you enjoy being out and going for drinks, this is the neighborhood for you. By day, the barrio is rather quiet with lots of charming boutiques and restaurants, while at night it transforms into a nightlife hub with an impressive amount of bars and music venues. The style of the neighborhood is defined by traditional 19th century buildings with painted facades, with the Plaza del 2 de Mayo at its core. The Movida Madrileña in the 1980’s thrived here and the creative spirit lives on with Malasaña being home to many of the city’s up-and-coming new businesses along streets such as Corredera de San Pablo and Calle Pez.

What we liked the most

  • The living room of the apartment is luminous and is equipped with a big TV.
  • The kitchen has modern appliances.
  • The apartment is well-connected with various metro lines and buses within walking distance.

Things to keep in mind

  • The kitchen is small but functional and equipped with new appliances.
  • The rooms are not big, but you have all the necessities and cafes and stores are at your doorstep.
