Neighborhood information

Located in Southwestern Madrid, Latina is often confused by foreigners with La Latina, with Latina being a district (an area of the city made up of lots of barrios) and La Latina a barrio within the Centro district. The two differ a lot from each other, both in location and in characteristics. Partly because of this coincidence, Latina is more of an administrative name for the district. Madrileños tend to identify this district as Aluche, which is the name of the best known and most centrally located neighborhood in the district, with a shopping mall and important commuter train station. Many expats know Aluche for the Extranjería office located there (where many have to go to deal with paperwork). The district is also adjacent to Casa de Campo, the largest park in the West of Madrid.

What we liked the most

  • This flat is quirky and bright, brilliantly decorated using an eclectic mix of styles and colours that work really well together. You will love the vibrant and positive feel of the apartment.
  • It has been recently renovated and has a modern well equipped kitchen, offering good storage space for your food items.
  • There is a lovely patio where you can dry your washing on sunny days.

Things to keep in mind

  • Three of the bedrooms are interior, but have windows overlooking the interior patio.
  • There is only one shared bathroom but bedroom one has its own en-suite.
