Neighborhood information

Malasaña is both traditional and alternative. If you enjoy being out and going for drinks, this is the neighborhood for you. By day, the barrio is rather quiet with lots of charming boutiques and restaurants, while at night it transforms into a nightlife hub with an impressive amount of bars and music venues. The style of the neighborhood is defined by traditional 19th century buildings with painted facades, with the Plaza del 2 de Mayo at its core. The Movida Madrileña in the 1980’s thrived here and the creative spirit lives on with Malasaña being home to many of the city’s up-and-coming new businesses along streets such as Corredera de San Pablo and Calle Pez.

What we liked the most

  • The apartment has air conditioning, perfect for hot summer days in Madrid!
  • The kitchen has a dishwasher, an amenity not often found in Madrid! It’s perfect for those who don’t like washing their own dishes!
  • All of the bedrooms have fridges inside and TVs.

Things to keep in mind

  • This apartment doesn’t having a living room, making it more ideal for tenants looking for a large room with little common space.
  • The kitchen doesn’t have a fridge, thus making it imperative that you keep your food inside your room.
