Tetuán takes its name from the equally named Moroccan city. The triumphant district is a welcoming one, with many shops, supermarkets and foreign restaurants to please all. It is inhabited by many immigrants from South America and Sub-Saharan Africa. There has been some debate whether Tetuán is a "dangerous"neighborhood, with some people calling it the "Bronx of Madrid."However, it is a vibrant area with a multicultural feel. In addition, part of Madrid’s financial district is in the neighborhood, making it in an important area for business activities.
