What we liked the most

  • Throwing open the doors to the balcony – you've got to have one in Madrid.
  • Closing off the sleeping area when friends come around – a little privacy is nice.
  • Dancing into the wee hours at one of Lavapiés great live music venues – get amongst it.

Things to keep in mind

  • There is a washing machine but no dryer – no probs, air dry your underwear on the balcony.
