Neighborhood information

A great neighborhood if you want to find relatively affordable accommodation in the center of Madrid and very well communicated thanks to the Atocha train station, where you can get AVE (high-speed trains to cities all around Spain). At Atocha, you can get Cercanías (suburban trains) to Universities in the South and North of Madrid such as: Carlos III, Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (the campus in Alcobendas), and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Close to the Retiro and Tierno Galvan parks, as well as the most renowned museums of Madrid. On the second weekend of each month, you will find the Mercado de Motores in the Museo del Ferrocarril in Delicias, with a wide range of vintage, handmade, and artisan goods. Live music and food are always on hand making the Mercado de Motores the most happening place in town. In spite of its proximity to tourist attractions, Atocha and Delicias are still very authentic neighborhoods, where you can get a real feel of Madrid.

What we liked the most

  • The bedroom is on a loft with a double bed and huge wardrobe accessed via a step-ladder
  • The living area is separate from the kitchen and the dining room, giving it more of an apartment feel
  • The kitchen has modern appliances with an electric stove, microwave, and huge fridge
  • There is also another interior patio off the kitchen and a built-in wardrobe along one the walls in the kitchen-dining room

Things to keep in mind

  • One of the interior patios accessed off of the bathroom
  • This is an interior apartment, meaning there are no street views
