Neighborhood information

Nueva España and Castilla belong to the Chamartín district. A short distance from the historic center and featuring the Paseo de la Castellana, one of the most well known thoroughfares of the city. It is considered to be the commercial heart of Madrid and entails the iconic Plaza de Castilla, in which the Castellana 200 Mall can be found. Closer to Plaza de la Castellana you will find numerous office buildings, such as the iconic Cuatro Torres Business Area. East of the Castellana you will find mostly residential neighborhoods with lots of families, with easy accessibility to the center via public transport. You will also find Hospital La Paz (at one of the district’s borders with Fuencarral-El Pardo) and Hospital Ramón y Cajal, two of the best public hospitals in Madrid. The Madrid campus of the ESADE Business School is located in this area with the closest Metro stop at Plaza de Castilla.

What we liked the most

  • The studio is spacious, with the bedroom separate from the living room and kitchen
  • There’s A/C, ideal for hot, Madrid summers
  • The kitchen appliances are all brand-new with an oven that’s also a microwave
  • There’s also a dryer, ideal for those who are’t keen on drying their clothes by hand
