Neighborhood information

Porta Romana:

One of Milan’s oldest districts, Porta Romana, also known as the former gate to Milan, holds a lot of history, dating back to the 12th century. Full of cobblestoned streets, chic shops and plenty of cafes, this charming district is often a favorite residential area of many due to its close proximity to the city centre and Milan’s universities.

What we liked the most

  • Ideal for students, just a 15-minute walk from the University of Milan. Bocconi University and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart is also nearby.
  • Very central in the city, within walking distance of several sights, including the Duomo.
  • The bedrooms are really spacious and bright.

Things to keep in mind
