Neighborhood information

The Brera District is an elegant, quiet, and bohemian neighborhood very close to the city center. It is the perfect place to spend the evening after walking around historic sights such as the Duomo, La Scala or Castello Sforzesco, all of which are located about a 15 minutes walk from Brera. Brera is also known as the Soho of Milan, serving as a cultural hub and housing different kinds of shops, boutiques and art galleries. Brera District has nice elegant streets lined with stores and boutiques. Though the pedestrian streets make it difficult to get around by car unless you are familiar with the district- and even harder to find a parking spot- those considering moving to this district have little use of a car, since Brera District is well connected by the Tramway system. This area offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars where you can try a delicious Italian antipasti with spritz or negroni! For those who love art and enjoy unique Italian paintings, the Brera Picture Gallery (Pinacoteca di Brera) is located in this district.

What we liked the most

  • The apartment is very close to the city centre and Parco Sempione, which is perfect for picnics and studying. You'll also be just around the corner from China Town - Milan's China Town has the biggest Chinese community in Italy.
  • The building is beautiful. There is a shared garden full of flowers- truly an oasis in the heart of the city!
  • The modern kitchen comes complete with a dishwasher. There is also a dining table where you can enjoy your meals.
  • The room for rent is spacious and has plenty of storage space. You'll have your own bathroom too, so maintaining privacy will be very easy.
