Neighborhood information

Located in the southeast of Rome, Tuscolano is located near the Aurelian Walls. Part of this neighborhood shares the San Giovanni name due to its proximity to the Basilica. The area is home to the Il parco archeologico delle Tombe di via Latina, a funerary complex that was excavated in the mid-19th century. The Via Tuscolana is the main street and divides the area in two. The area is connected by Metro Line A, as well as the Ferrovia Roma Gardinetti and FR1 and FR5 lines of the Ferrovia Regionale de Lazio. The Stazione de Tuscolana offers train service on the Ferrovia Tirrenica and the train line to Fiumicino.
