Neighborhood information

Tiburtina is home to the second largest train station in all of Rome. Its strategic position keeps the neighbourhood well-connected to the rest of the city and makes commuting and travelling easier for residents. On the majority of Friday and Saturday nights, many of Tiburtina’s streets become pedestrian-only and you can see Romans enjoying themselves into the early hours of the morning.

This is an area of predominantly inexpensive high-rise apartments dating back to the economic book of the 1950s. You will come across a little bit of everything along the main street of Tiburtina; whether you are looking for clothing, food or antiques, you are sure to find it here. The district is also scheduled to be redeveloped in the near future.

What we liked the most

  • There is a balcony connected to the kitchen and one of the bedrooms.
  • The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, gas stove, oven, washing machine, and it has a lot of cabinet space.
  • The bedrooms are spacious and come with plenty of storage space.
  • The neighbourhood is extremely well connected to the rest of the city by all methods of public transport.

Things to keep in mind

  • There is no living room, but the kitchen is spacious and could be used as a common area.
