Neighborhood information

Built in the 1930s, Parioli is a safe and residential area that has the best of both worlds: a wide variety of popular restaurants and a vibrant nightlife, but it is a part of the city that still maintains a quiet atmosphere. This area of the city is situated away from many sites in Rome and though it lacks a metro system, it has a bus system nearby and plenty of taxis that will take you to the historical center of Rome.

Locals enjoy a varied selection of bars, fine restaurants, green spaces and public parks; it is one of the most elegant parts of the city and in fact, some consider it to be the most luxurious. The new music auditorium, Parco della Musica, designed by the architect Renzo Piano, has brought new life to the area.

What we liked the most

  • The balcony means you can go outside without leaving the comfort of your apartment.
  • With an oven as well as a stove, you can cook whatever you choose.
  • The apartment feels large, offering plenty of space for both quietly relaxing and socialising.
  • The property is a 15-minute walk from Parco di Villa Chigi, ideal for exercising or a relaxing afternoon stroll.
  • This area is perfect for those seeking some peace away from the city centre but easy access to it when they wish.

Things to keep in mind

  • The balcony is only accessible from one of the bedrooms, but that is good motivation to make friends with your flatmates.
