Rooms are available to rent in this apartment on Via Piemonte, in the Centro Storico. The apartment is an "apart-hotel", which means that it is available to rent mid- to long-term, but also offers the services of a hotel, with a reception, and daily room cleaning. There are 5 rooms in the apartment, each with their own en-suite bathroom, AC, TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. In the reception room, there is a breakfast bar, where you will find supplies for the morning, with cereals, pastries, tea and coffee, etc.

The apartment is in the Centro Storico, the historical heart of Rome. It is also close to the beautiful Villa Borghese, Rome's city centre park. The central train station is also nearby, and in the local area you will find no shortage of shopping, cafes, bars, restaurants, and more.

Neighborhood information

Centro Storico
Ancient and sublime

Overview
Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Whoever first said that must have been standing in Centro Storico at the time. (‘Centro Storico’ means ‘Historical Centre’).

Rome is also known as the Eternal City. Its story spans almost 3,000 years. You could say it transgresses the boundaries of time.

Nowhere is this endless, ancient history more apparent than in Centro Storico.

Here, you could say the past comes alive. Or that it hangs around, refusing to go anywhere.

Either way, the winner is you.

What can I do here?
This picture-perfect place is why you came to Rome.

Most famous monuments are crammed into this treasure trove of an area. But there is a lot. You’ll struggle to see it all in one day.

You can tackle historic Rome in several ways:

  • Organize a day of structured sightseeing. That way, all the thinking is done for you.
  • Wander around aimlessly. Do that, and you’ll discover awe-inspiring surprises around every corner.

In the end, it’s up to you. (Lucky, lucky you. Can we come?)

Hungry? If you want the best of the best in Rome’s old town, you need to try the Hostaria Costanza. It’s a restaurant in the ruins of an ancient theatre. Locals love their fresh take on traditional Roman dishes.

If you’re looking for something a bit different, try the Ristorante Piperno. It’s a high-end Jewish restaurant. You’ll love their authentic, traditional dishes.

But of course, this is Rome. Explore. Try everywhere! There’s bound to be something you’ll love.

Fascinating fact
Where do we even start?

Historic Rome is the most fact-filled place – you’ll have to come and see for yourself.

Did you know that ‘July’ is named after the Emperor Julius Caesar?

Or that Cleopatra was born closer in time to the creation of the first McDonald’s than to the building of the Great Pyramid?

Mind blowing!

Can I afford it?
€€€ (expensive)

What we liked the most

  • Each of the rooms has its own private en-suite bathroom, with shower.
  • In an apart-hotel, you get all the service of an hotel, at a much lower cost.
  • Escape the tourist-filled centre, in Villa Borghese, the beautiful slightly-less-tourist-filled park, which is home to Rome's zoo, among other attractions. It's a 10-minute walk away.
  • Exploring the local restaurants will be a joy! This is Italy, after all.

Things to keep in mind

  • There are no cooking facilities provided. However, there is a breakfast service, and Rome has no shortage of restaurants.
  • All bills except electricity are included in the rent.
