Poblats Marítims has all the fun!
It is a collection of mellow beach towns. El Cabanyal and Malvarrosa are the best known.
The neighbourhood has an authentic feel and plenty to discover.
What will you find?
What can I do here? Colourful El Cabanyal has a fishing-village atmosphere, with distinctively tiled 1- and 2-storey houses.
Eat at one of the many restaurants lining the seafront: * La Otra Parte Taberna is an experimental restaurant with funky decor and great tapas. * Bodega la Pascuala is known for its giant bocadillos (sandwiches) * L’Estimat is the place to go in Valencia for paella. Pricey though. * La Más Bonita is perfect for brunch by the sea.
Spend summer days swimming and sunbathing at La Malvarrosa or Patacona beaches.
The weather is mild even in winter. The seafront is always full of people rollerblading or cycling. Join in!
Fun fact The former mayor tried to demolish hundreds of protected buildings. Residents campaigned to stop her, and won. The money will now be spent on helping regenerate the district. People power!
