Neighborhood information

Ciutat Vella
Your historic, vibrant and central home

  • Valencia's most ancient district welcomes you.
  • Narrow stone streets enclose you.
  • 14th-century ramparts surround you.
  • A progressive alternative vibe embraces you.

Welcome to Ciutat Vella. What will you discover?

What can I do here?
Pass through the iconic Torres de Serranos. Lose yourself in the cobbled avenues and vibrant streets.

You’ll find street art and ramshackle shops. Tiny cafes with tiny terraces serving great food. Some of Valencia’s best nightlife spots are here, too.

Admire Ciutat Vella’s architectural treasures:

  • Gothic Llotja de Seda – a World Heritage Site
  • Mercat Central – an art nouveau masterpiece
  • Micalet – cathedral bell-tower, and symbol of Valencia

Fun fact
In Plaça de Lope de Vega, you can find a building that is only 107 cm wide. It’s the narrowest home in Europe. Cosy.

Can I afford it?
€€ (mid-range)
