Lisbon now has a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. Where it was once a problem to find somewhere to eat out, now it’s becoming hard to choose which restaurant you will try amongst all the options.

While looking for a new place it is also important to know the city and look for some recommendations. Spotahome made this (small) list of the best and newest vegan and vegetarian restaurants you can find in Lisbon and enjoy during your stay:

Opened in 2016, this friendly and relaxed restaurant is 100% vegan and offers tasty burgers and daily specials. Don’t leave without trying the desserts! Special attention to the raw dried fruit tart, which is sugar-free and sweetened with dates and agave syrup.

We advise you to book since it's a very popular place thanks to quality.

For Italian food lovers, this pizzeria offers several options, from vegan to vegetarian, through organic and even gluten-free products, and it’s considered one of the best in Lisbon.

The thin crust is the common denominator of all the pizzas made with the best organic products and fresh ingredients. On top of that, you will find an excellent selection of organic Portuguese wines, as well as a wide range of coffee and teas from around the world.

Address: In Bocca al Lupo, R. Manuel Bernardes, 5, 1200-009 Lisboa, Portugal

This biological café belongs to a mother and her three daughters. Everything here is fresh, organic, sustainable and most of the waste is recycled.

The menu changes seasonally (every 3 months) and offers a wide range of suggestions.

On the menu, you can find a plate called  "zero waste", where the leftovers of the previous day are today's offering!

Address: My Mother’s Daughters, Largo de São Sebastião da Pedreira, 49, 1050-010 Lisboa, Portugal

Hours: Mon-Fri from 8:30 am to 5 pm / Weekends from 10 am to 5 pm

O Botanista

Back to the roots of flavor: zero processed sugars, few spices, genuine flavors. This is O Botanista - The vegan restaurant with a menu for all hours of the day. It has breakfast, lunch and snack options with nothing of animal origin, and it serves around the clock. Want sweet potatoes and gyozas at 9 am or oatmeal at 7 pm? This is the place.

Address: O Botanista, Rua D. Luís I, 19, 1200-109 Lisboa, Portugal

Hours: Mon-Sat from 9 am to 8 pm / Closed on Sundays

Arkhe

Arkhe is a sophisticated and cool restaurant with original vegetarian cuisine by chef João Ricardo Alves.

The seasonality of the ingredients and contact with small producers is privileged, respecting the seasons and what the land gives. This is the most expensive of our list but definitely worth it! There is a Degustation Menu, around 30-35€ per person, that includes two starters, main course, and a dessert. An option for the undecided ones and that want to know the chef’s work.

Address: Arkhe, Boqueirão do Duro, 46, 1200-163 Lisboa, Portugal

Hours: Tue-Sat from 7 pm to 11 pm
