Overview

The postgrad's paradise

Because who doesn't love living close to campus?

Will I like it here?

We think so.

Do you dream of stepping out your front door, right into the city centre? Looking for a spot just a stone's throw from campus?

If so, you've come to the right place.

Really? Tell me more...

It doesn't get more central than this. You're within walking distance of the Pompeu Fabra University, as well as the Maremagnum shopping centre, and Mercado de La Boqueria.

We think this apartment is great for postgraduates. You're close to campus, plus the bedrooms offer plenty of space to study and relax.

Your top 3 reasons to live here:

  • The bedrooms here have all the space you need to study, as well as relax and unwind.
  • There are 3 bathrooms available, so you'll never have to wait long for a shower.
  • The Pompeu Fabra University is less than 5-minutes' walk away.

But you need to know this...

  • This apartment is on the 2nd floor of the building, which doesn't have an elevator. It's about to get a whole lot easier to make that daily step count.

Our Homechecker, Andrea, said:

“I loved this property. It’s right in the heart of the city, with fantastic public transport connections and lots to do and see."

Give it to me straight...

This is a furnished 2nd floor, 5-bedroom apartment on Carrer d'Escudellers Blancs, Barcelona. Enjoy spacious bedrooms, plus 3 bathrooms to share.

We think this apartment is ideal for postgraduates. You have unbeatable access to the city, both for study and to enjoy the vibrant entertainment nearby.

What we liked the most

  • Studying in the privacy of your bedroom — get productive and get those assignments done.
  • Soaking in the shower — and don't worry (too much) about holding everyone up.
  • Walking out to class — say goodbye to long commutes and hello to relaxing strolls.

Neighborhood information

Barri Gòtic

Your medieval, romantic and central home

Overview

Dreamy, atmospheric, marked by history. The fast-beating heart of Barcelona city centre.

Welcome to Barri Gòtic.

It's one of Barcelona's oldest neighbourhoods. So there's plenty for you to explore. The architecture is gloomy neo-gothic. Narrow streets twist and turn. Each a path leading you back to the past.

What will you find?

What can I do here?

Take yourself for a wander down Las Ramblas.

It's a 1.2-kilometre road. You can explore palaces, admire street performers and avoid flower sellers. There's an El Corte Inglés department store, too.

You can find La Boqueria here too. It's a fresh-food market with 300 stalls. You can buy anything from garlic to guacamole, honey to jamón (ham). There's a food school. Local chefs and sommeliers share their wisdom.

Thirsty?

Stroll down to Plaça Reial. Sit under the the palm trees. Sip a beer. Lean back into the Mediterranean vibe. Elegant colonial buildings surround you. Shadowy arches. High windows. Fading wooden shutters.

Contemplate the gothic architecture of Barcelona cathedral. It's 800 years old and covered in gargoyles.

Travel back in time as you wander the narrow streets. The buildings lean overhead, almost touching.

Shopaholic? You'll love the boutiques on Carrer d'Avinyó.

At Number 7 you'll find La Manual Alpargatera. It sells espadrille-inspired shoes. It's whispered they cut their colours from a real rainbow. Grey-purple-green? No problem.

Fun fact

The famous bar Els Quatre Gats, housed in Casa Martí, was a favourite of Pablo Picasso. Genius.

Can I afford it? €€€ (expensive)
