Spotahome's opinion
There is an independent apartment for rent in a family house on Spatenweg in Marzahn-Hellersdorf.
Although you will share the property with another family, you will have access to your own private bathroom and kitchen - both of which are well-equipped with new, modern appliances. For example, the microwave can also be used as a grill. The apartment also has an independent living room and dining table.
The bedroom is a modern room with a double bed, as well as heating and a large standalone wardrobe and chest of drawers, so you have plenty of space to store your belongings. The room is located in the upper level of the house, and has a private bathroom and kitchen.
Note that the bathroom, although just for you, is located in a shared hallway.
Shared spaces include the laundry room, situated in the basement, and the garden, which you can also use.
There are a couple of restaurants within a 10-minute walk of this house as well as a supermarket. Schloss Biesdorf Park is also within walking distance, and is a great place to relax or get some exercise. Thanks to a nearby S-Bahn station, living here you will be no more than 30 minutes from the famous Alexanderplatz.
What we liked the most
- The house is close to public transport.
- Your private bathroom is modern and has a large shower, sink and toilet.
- You also have a private kitchen with everything you need to cook including plates and pots.
- There is a small garden outside which will be wonderful in the summer.
- The landlady can install a TV if requested.
Things to keep in mind
- Only for FEMALES. Only single occupation
- A GEZ TV license will need to be set up individually.
- The bathroom is located in a shared hallway. But remember, it is still just for you!

- There is another bus stop within a 15-minute walk which services line N5.
Flatmates
- The live-in landlady is in her 40s and has 2 daughters who visit and stay occassionally. She enjoys reading & dancing.
- As this is an independent apartment within the family house, visits are allowed without requesting permission.
