The social set-up

Because I want to live with flatmates and close to campus

Will I like it here?

Maybe.

Are you looking to live in a quiet residential area that is also student friendly? Picture yourself jogging on a Saturday morning and then taking the sbahn to downtown for dinner and drinks.

Really? Tell me more...

You will love the location. Pankow is home to Bard College Berlin and New York University Berlin. It has a young, artsy vibe and boasts multiple city parks and outdoor markets.

We think it’s ideal for young professionals or students. Recently refurbished, private rooms with wardrobes and desks, and easy access to public transport. 3 big ticks.

Your top 3 reasons to rent here:

  • The eat-in kitchen. It's the perfect space to bond with your flatmates.
  • The in-unit washing machine. Time to say goodbye to the laundromat.
  • The location. Quiet residential area, full of restaurants, shops and parks. Sweet.

But you need to know this...

  • This apartment is located on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. Opportunity to burn extra calories walking up and down the stairs?

Give it to me straight…

This is a tidy 2nd floor, 5-bedroom apartment on Damerowstraße, Berlin. You'll love the layout with a an eat-in kitchen and 5 private bedrooms.

We think this apartment is perfect for young professionals or students. Need to zip around town? The bus stop is just down the street and the Sbahn is a 15-minute stroll away.

Overview

Pankow is the second-largest borough in Berlin, and has at least 10 varied "sub-districts". The southern area bordering Mitte offers an array of posh cafes and shops, while the north is quite low income. You will find plenty of students and families with young kids in this district.

What can I do here?

Pick up a currywurst sausage at Konnopke's, followed by coffee at Anna Blume. Or grab a beer at the Prater beer garden and explore Kulturbrauerei, an old brewery that has been transformed into a cultural space. Kollwitzplatz is considered one of Berlin's most beautiful squares, and Oderberger Strasse its hippest street!

Fascinating fact

Pankow is Berlin's most populous borough, and also home to Germany's largest synagogue.
