A recently refurbished, 38m² studio apartment is available to rent on the top floor of a 19th century building in Prenzlauer Berg; part of the Wins area of Berlin. The owner has put a great deal of thought into this spacious property; a combination of the large, south-facing windows and bright colour-scheme contribute to make the interior exceptionally luminous, even in winter. The large living room / bedroom space has varnished wooden floors, modern furniture, and a sizeable built-in closet for your belongings. The white lacquered kitchen area is slightly separated from the rest of the apartment, and is incredibly well equipped with all you need for cooking gastronomic or on-the-go meals. As well as the usual appliances, you will have a espresso / cappuccino machine and a dishwasher, plus a washing machine / dryer.
Best of all, the apartment has been recently renovated, and the landlord is very happy with the results: "We took special care to showcase the work of young designers we like, as you can see in the materials and colors used to transform this living space. We wanted to give it a 'feel good' vibe."
Prenzlauer Berg is an upmarket area of the city, within the larger Winsviertel Quarter. The area is a mixture of calm residential streets and urban bustle, so you can find everything you need nearby including cafés and restaurants, boutique workshops, a Lidl supermarket, pharmacies, and plenty of local shops. Ernst-Thälmann Park is just a 5-minute walk away, ideal for an early morning run, and for a more relaxed time, the beautiful Volkspark Friedrichshain can be reached in approximately 10 minutes.
What we liked the most
- The large kitchen is really well equipped, and comes ready with iconic French glasses, Limoges Porcelain and sharp ceramic knives.
- The kitchen has a bar-type area - perfect for entertaining or enjoying a quick breakfast.
- The living room has a flat-screen LED-TV with cable featuring international channels.
- Working from home, or streaming your favourite movies won't be a problem with 100 MB internet.
- There is bicycle storage included in the price.
- Alexanderplatz, the centre of Berlin, is just 10 minutes away by tram.
