This cosy studio apartment of 40m2 is in the basement of the property and is located on Avenue Albert Giraud in the Schaerbeek area of Brussels. The area is very well connected to the city center, the European Institutions and the universities, making it a perfect apartment for students or professionals. This is an ideal location for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of city life occasionally as there is a multitude of parks, the river and sports complexes nearby. The apartment is well decorated and laid-out, it offers a great deal of space and storage. Excellent transport links means that nothing in Brussels is very far away and night services ensure that the Belgian nightlife can also be enjoyed to its full extent.

What we liked the most

  • The kitchen is fully equipped, and more. There are modern gas hobs and all of the utensils you could need.
  • With the entire basement, there has also been a great use of space, and a lot of storage with a spacious wardrobe and plenty of chest of drawers too.
  • The ventilator in the bathroom is new and is essential for a basement studio.
  • The apartment is well-connected to the city center. You can choose to visit bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood, or equally you can visit the outskirts of the city where you will find parks and amenities not possible in the city area such as large sports and shopping complexes.

Things to keep in mind

  • There is no natural light as the apartment is located in the basement, however the design of the lighting has kept this in mind as the apartment is incredibly luminous.
  • There is no oven, however there is a good-sized microwave and the gas hobs should be ample to cook a decent meal.

Transportation

The apartment is very well connected with public transport, it is around twenty minutes from Université Saint-Louis - Bruxelles and 25 minutes from the European Institutions. The city center is also easily accessible. Huart Hamoir bus stop is only two minutes from the apartment by foot and connects with line 59. Tram station Schaerbeek Gare with tram line 92 is only five minutes away, while you can also take bus lines 59 and 69 from the bus stop there. Helmet Tram is 6 minutes from the apartment and connects with lines 32 and 55. Slightly further away, at just under ten minutes is Schaerbeek Helmet bus stop which connects with bus lines 270, 212, 272 and 620 - plenty to get you around Brussels!
