This charming 1-bedroom apartment is available to rent in the Port Romana area of Oltrarno, Florence. The property is contemporary, with modern fittings and furnishings throughout, but retains an attractive aesthetic with traditional elements. The living room and kitchen are open concept, with a separate bedroom and bathroom, as well as a storage area.
This area of Florence is no less beautiful than the centre, but has a very different feel to it. Everything here is a lot sleepier and more peaceful. Thanks to Florence's compact size though, you're not too far from the centre. Porta Romana, which marks the edge of the Historical centre is only a kilometre away, and you could walk to Ponte Vecchio, which bridges the Arno in about 40 minutes (2 km away).
What we liked the most
- The apartment has a lovely, modern kitchen, which will be a pleasure to cook in.
- There's a cute balcony where you can sun yourself on a sleep afternoon.
- You'll be living in Oltrarno, the quiet side of the city. Relaxing!
- It's about a 20 minute stroll to Porta Romana, at the edge of the old city. From here you have panoramic views of the city down the hill and across the river.
