There is a post office, a pharmacy, doctor's surgery, butchers, off-licence/grocery shops, a Pub and a free withdraw ATM machine. The bus ride to East Croydon train station is 15-20 minutes and 8-10 minutes to West Wickham train station which goes to London Bridge; two choices of commuting to the city. There is also a number of big chain supermarkets nearby, and a lot of dinning out places. In summary, this is a good location even if you are to be commuting to and from the city with friendly neighbours.
