A charming, 1-bedroom apartment with AC is available to rent in Conde Duque - part of Malasaña. This 35 m² property has plenty of character, with slanted ceilings and wooden beams. The apartment has a spacious living room, which is the first room you see when you walk through the front door. There is also a fully equipped kitchen which has plenty of storage space.

This apartment is on Calle San Bernardo, one of the main streets in Malasaña. This neighbourhood is arguably the most popular in Madrid, known for its rebellious character and varied assortment of bars, cafes, restaurants and independent boutiques. To reach other parts of Madrid, you can walk (everything is near this central neighbourhood), or catch the metro from Noviciado station which is about 3 metres away.

What we liked the most

  • The apartment has slanted ceilings and the bedrooms have cosy wooden panelling on the walls.
  • The large living room has a sofa bed for guests.
  • AC units are spread throughout the apartment.
  • Despite being on such a busy street, you will not hear much noise as the windows don't face directly onto Calle San Bernardo.
  • You will be living in Malasaña - one of Madrid's most vibrant neighbourhoods.

Things to keep in mind

  • The kitchen does not have an oven but it has a stove and a microwave.
