Spotahome's opinion
The rooms to rent in this 4-bedroom apartment on a 6th floor on Calle del Alcalde Sáinz de Baranda are ideal for female workers or postgraduate students. There are plenty of windows throughout, including in the front door hallway and the WC located there. Around the corner is a second full bathroom with a shower stall, and a cozy but fully-equipped kitchen with a washing machine. The end of the hall opens to a combined living and dining room, which is furnished with a 4-seat table, sofa, 2 chairs and a large flat-screen TV.
This neighborhood, Retiro, takes its name from the expansive park that is just a 10-minute walk from your apartment. It’s a great spot to get away, but there are plenty of activities and tourist sights to see here too. If you are a medical worker, you’ll be happy to note you’re located close to three different hospitals, including the Children’s Hospital at the edge of the park. There are a number of restaurants nearby, including a chocolate café, and there is a cinema just 10 minutes away.

What we liked the most
- Access to a common area to eat, chat with flatmates and watch TV is a nice perk, and so is the availability of the WC and washing machine.
- The nearest grocery store is a 20-minute walk, but there are dozens of restaurants nearby.
- You’re super close to El Retiro Park, as well as to Roma Park.
- The apartment is exceptionally convenient if you work at one of the four or five nearby hospitals.

- The Sainz de Baranda metro station, on lines 6 and 9, is just 4 minutes away.
- The Atocha railway station may be a 30-minute walk away, but it's a 30-minute walk through El Retiro Park. If you're in a hurry, though, a taxi can get you there in 12 minutes.
