Spotahome's opinion
This 3rd floor 1-bedroom apartment to rent on Via Ambrogio Binda is actually a converted attic, so expect sloped ceilings. The front door opens onto a tiled floor and an open-plan space furnished with a 4-seat dining table, sofa, a TV on a cabinet. This room also has a one-wall equipped kitchen with plenty of cupboard space. You get some sun into this area from a window and a skylight. The bedroom, which has the rustic touch of exposed beams, also has a skylight and a small closet, as well as a chest of drawers and cozy double bed. The bathroom is located just across the hall and is contemporary, with a shower stall.
San Cristoforo is a 25-minute metro ride from downtown, but you don’t need to go into the city center to provide for all your needs. While largely a residential area, there are a few sights that are worth seeing, including Mudec, which is the modern cultural museum and is only a 15-minute walk away. You’re at about the same distance from Teramo Park. The Free University of Languages and Communication is just a 12-minute walk away, and there are a few cocktail bars and restaurants a couple of streets down. There is a Lidl market 3 minutes out, and the area is well connected to the rest of Milan by bus and the metro.
What we liked the most
- The apartment has unique touches, including sloped ceilings, skylights, and exposed wood beams.
- If you’re a student, you’ll enjoy being a short walk away from the nearby university.
- Aside from a few restaurants and cafés, you can pick up some great Italian ice-cream with a 5-minute walk.
- The bed can be split into 2 singles, for if friends want to share the apartment.
- Cinema Ducale is 15 minutes away.
Things to keep in mind
- The apartment is a converted loft on the 3rd floor of a building with no elevator.
