Navigli is one of the most charming spots in the City. Milan used to be similar to Venice, but unlike Venice, where most of the canals are gone, here they have remained untouched. Navigli is a canal-based neighborhood and also the most romantic district of the City. The two major canals are Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande, both of which are navigable and surrounded by different types of coffee shops, restaurants, bars and art galleries. This area is very popular among Milanese citizens, many of whom would assure you that the sunset there is one of the most memorable scenes you will ever see. It is a pedestrian-friendly zone with a vibrant nightlife that at times gets busy and noisy due to the different bars, restaurants and terrace where young people and professionals gather. Not to mention that it is Perfect For Aperitivo! A typical buffet style food that you guarantees a free drink with an order. One of the things in Navigli you don’t want to miss out on is the vintage/old market every last Sunday of the month.
