This great little duplex apartment is available to rent on Rue Pavée in the 4th arrondissement. The 28 m² apartment has an open-plan kitchen and living area downstairs with a large couch which converts to a double bed when guests visit. There is also a cabinet with storage space, a flat screen TV, and this is where you will find the washing machine. The kitchen is compact, but includes a 2-burner electric stove, half-fridge, and a dishwasher. The bathroom is tiled and has modern fittings. Upstairs the bedroom is small but cosy, and has space for a double bed.

As great as the apartment is, it is the location that you'll love the most, in the 4th arrondissement, just a few minute's walk from the Île de la Cité and Notre Dame! The area is completely packed with boutique stores, cafes and restaurants. For more useful day-to-day amenities, you don't have to travel far, there are several banks in the area, and there is an Intermarché Express grocery store just a 4-minute walk away. Surrounded by history and architecture, you won't have to travel far to find something cultural to entertain yourself, and for more contemporary entertainment, you're just a few minutes from the nightlife, bars, clubs and restaurants of Bastille.

What we liked the most

  • As well as the space in the apartment, there a separate storage room (chambre de bonne) which belongs to the apartment.
  • For a small bathroom, the shower is exceptionally spacious.
  • The apartment will be very calm, despite the central location, as none of the windows are street-facing.
  • Commuting will be easy with 6 Metro lines accessible just a few moments from the apartment.
  • There is so much to see and do around here that you'll never get bored!

Things to keep in mind

  • This apartment is on the 4th floor of a building which does not have an elevator.
