You’ll want to be in shape to live in this 1-bedroom apartment for rent on Rue de Vaugirard. It’s a good space with a great view, but it is on the 7th floor and there isn’t an elevator. Your space is divided into two rooms. In one, you’ll find the comfy double bed, a desk and chair, as well as shelving and a sink. The other area features a shower cabinet and has the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped, bright, and furnished with a table and chairs. The toilet room is also separate, but shared among a couple of other tenants on the floor.
Living in the 6th arrondissement, you’re close to some of the most iconic sites in Paris. Even when you aren’t, the area is well connected by the Metro. Luxembourg Palace and Gardens is only a 15-minute walk away. Panthéon-Assas University Paris II isn’t much farther. Historical buildings are around every corner. So are theaters and cinemas. You’re less than 10 minutes from Poche-Montparnasse Theater and UGC Montparnasse cinema. And there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, too.
What we liked the most
- On the 7th floor you get a great view of the city.
- You’ll find a couple of laundromats within a 20-minute walk.
- There are department stores and dozens of clothing stores in the neighborhood.
- You can pick up groceries at the Franprix or G20 supermarkets around the corner.
Things to keep in mind
- You can forget about leg day at the gym, because you'll get plenty of exercise climbing up the stairs to the 7th floor. The view is spectacular, though.
- You get your own private shower, but the toilet is shared with a couple of other tenants that live on the same floor.
